The company of Hyla Pllana BI was created in 2002 from an idea of Mrs. Hyla Pllana, who started her business in her apartment cooking traditional recipes and selling them door-to-door and according to the demand of consumers; then gradually as consumers' demand grew, so did the company, which now includes 100% female workers who have successfully managed to develop the company and increase its activity. The company deals with the production of traditional Albanian foods cooked with love and following the country's traditional recipes. Its products currently offered include Baklava, Flija, Pies of all kinds, Mantijave, Bakllasarmë, Leqenik and other traditional products, thus aiming not only to develop the business but also to expand the company's range of products.
The workers and their families will also be the direct beneficiaries since through this work it will be possible to provide income for several families. A good collaborative relationship has also been established with local farmers and producers, who supply all raw materials such as milk, oil, butter, meat, cheese and other products.
