Empowering villagers through exchange tourism
Period
2018 - in progress

Zikra pioneers community-based tourism, known as "exchange tourism," to transform livelihoods in rural areas. This innovative approach invites visitors to immerse themselves in local communities, honouring their rich traditions and sustainable practices. Through this exchange, villagers share their deep knowledge of food production, cultural heritage, and resource management, providing a unique opportunity for cultural immersion and mutual learning. This model holds promise for promoting alternative ways of living and fostering sustainable development in rural areas.
