LEGISLATION
Overview:
This Law consisting of 12 articles aims at protecting agricultural land both from any act that might harm to crops or, in general, the vegetation, and from investments which involve the construction of buildings on agricultural land. Buildings and public services can be built on land not suitable for agricultural use (sandy, rocky, marshland). Therefore, this Law prevents any buildings except for farm holder (only with a permit of the General People's Committee for Agricultural Land Reclamation and Reconstruction) and any actions of non-agricultural investment. It does not include agricultural land within the cities and villages schemes. It prescribes penalties for those who contravene the provisions of the Law.
